DAY 1 of testing at the Jericho platform.

Tests are currently being conducted to analyze the structural response of our demonstrator on the Jericho platform.

The tests aim to reproduce the wingtip’s behavior during flight by applying several mechanical point loads.

The equivalent point loads representing the aerodynamic loading are determined through numerical simulations adapted to this specific Pipistrel aircraft.

To capture the wingtip deformation with high resolution, ONERA applied a black-and-white speckle pattern to the wing, which is monitored by several optical cameras for digital image correlation.
