Pipistrel Aircraft has completed the project’s development of the multifunctional wingtip.
The reference wing tip has been created for initial calibrations and structural validations. The multifunctional demonstrator, a full-scale prototype designed to replace the wingtip of the Pipistrel Velis Electro electric aircraft. This component integrates 40 smart structural battery cells.
All components have been delivered to ONERA – The French Aerospace Lab for the next final testing phases.
